During the Dec. 13 Cibolo City Council meeting, Public Works Director Timothy Fousse gave an update to the Cibolo Valley Drive Rehabilitation Project, which began in August.

According to Fousse, segments 1 and 2 are complete. These start at Everyday Way and end near the area of the road near the intersection at West Borgfield Road.

The rehabilitation of segments 4, 5, 6 and 7, which begin in front of Legacy Traditional Schools and ends at Old Wiederstein Road, have the northbound lanes complete and 90% of the southbound lanes complete, according to Fousse.

Fousse said the initial paving on these segments is expected to be completed by the end Dec. 16, weather permitting.

The northern piece of Segment 8, which includes the portion of North Main Street from Schlather Street to FM 1103, was completed in November.

The remaining portion of Segment 8 from Schlather Street to FM 78 is expected to begin in January and be complete by the third week of January.

“We are working on that schedule, and we are hoping to get it done in the earlier part of January if possible, but we are moving forward with that,” Fousse said.

Segment 3, which begins near West Borgfield Road and ends in front of Legacy Traditional Schools, will be the final segment complete. Work on Segment 3 is expected to begin Dec. 19.

The entirety of the project is estimated to be complete by August.
