The city of Schertz on March 4 announced that construction on Eckhardt Road will begin on March 7.
The construction area will span from Park Leaf to the Schertz city limits. During construction, the area will have alternating lane closures causing delays in travel time.
This project is a partnership between Schertz and Guadalupe County to mill the road and resurface it with a chip seal treatment.
According to the city of Schertz, the estimated completion for the milling will be March 11. Resurfacing on the road is set to begin in the spring.
