With freezing temperatures and a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio, cities in the area have taken precautions by closing city offices and roads.

Due to ice and snow on bridges and overpasses, the The Texas Department of Transportation recommends all drivers stay cautious.

As for road closures, all US 281/Loop 1604 interchange ramps are closed until further notice.

The city of Schertz has a warming center located at the Schertz Community Center, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Schertz. The center will be open on Feb. 3 and Feb. 4 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. and Feb. 5 from 7 a.m.-noon.

The city of Cibolo closed all facilities at noon Feb. 3 and will not reopen until Feb. 7 at 8 a.m. During this time, phones will not be monitored, and any non-life-threatening emergencies can be addressed by calling 210-619-1274.
