Christopher C. Ward has been appointed as the new chief medical officer for Methodist Hospital Northeast.

According to a Nov. 1 release, Ward previously served as the CMO of Methodist Hospital Texsan, where he had a proven track record of building collaborative partnerships, and driving strategic and operational success.

Ward brings over 25 years of board-certified experience in emergency medicine. Prior to joining Methodist Healthcare, he served as Ice Chair of Emergency Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital, according to the release.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Northeast family,” Ward said in the release. “Methodist Hospital Northeast has an outstanding reputation within the Tri-County communities, and I look forward to improving clinical outcomes, enhancing medical staff collaboration and empowering the team as they continue to deliver world-class, patient-centered care.”

Ward assumed his new role Nov. 6.
