Digging deeper

Council authorized staff to obtain estimated costs of construction for the expansion of the golf course parking lot in September 2024. City Manager Kim Turner told council that there were issues with overflow parking at the course going onto city streets and unapproved property.

Council member Phil Vaughan said previous discussion centered on sewer line expansion because of potential expansion of the course’s clubhouse. Public Works Director Randy Luensmann told Vaughan that completing this work now would be much cheaper than at a future time.
