About the program
The program offers students the opportunity to get involved with the community on a higher level, learning about local government, education, businesses and Joint Base San Antonio Randolph Air Force Base.
All high school students within the city or school district can participate, and must commit to six mandatory school-day sessions held from 9:15 a.m.-3 p.m.
Alongside these sessions, participants are required to attend one Schertz City Council meeting, one volunteer event and one SCUCISD board meeting.
Following completion of the program, participants will have a mandatory graduation ceremony in May.
Applications are open until Sept. 20, and classes are scheduled to begin on Oct. 17. Applications can be found here.
