The second reading for a rowhome development in Universal City was approved during the May 7 City Council meeting.

The details

The project falls within the Aviation District, which was established with a master plan in 2020 to revitalize the area of Pat Booker Road near Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph.

City Council approved the first reading of the ordinances for the project on April 16.

City staff said the planned development is comprised of 11 rowhome units on the corner of East Wright Boulevard and Bowie Drive.

According to agenda documents, the rowhomes would feature rear-loading and parking access.

What else?

Alongside the approval of the rowhome zoning changes, City Council approved multiple resolutions and ordinances related to the Reunion development, which will be a mixed-use development located off Loop 1604 behind the H-E-B and Walmart.

This development will potentially include open spaces, retail, multifamily units and other uses.
