The Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is seeking feedback on the FY 2025-28 Transportation Improvement Program proposed projects.

According to the AAMPO website, the organization held a project call within its study area to distribute $185 million in federal transportation funding.

Funding categories include:
  • Transportation alternatives
  • Congestion mitigation and air quality
  • The Carbon Reduction Program
Through the project call, seven bicycle/pedestrian projects and 15 air quality projects were identified. The AAMPO service area includes Bexar, Guadalupe and Comal counties as well as a portion of Kendall County.

A survey is open for residents of the area to give input for the project. Those who take the survey will choose three projects they feel should be prioritized in the program. The survey also allows for comments to be submitted on individual projects.

Each day, the results are updated to show what residents throughout the area have selected as the highest priority projects, according to the program website.

As of Oct. 24, the top three projects based on feedback are:
  • West Dietz Creek Trail, Schertz
  • Brooks Green Loop, Brooks City Base
  • Citywide Pedestrian Accessibility Improvements, San Antonio
The survey is open through Oct. 31.
