Prior to her new role, Miranda was the finance director for the city of Cibolo from 2011-21 before serving as the assistant finance director for the city of San Marcos.
According to Cibolo staff, Miranda will oversee the Cibolo Finance Department, which consists of accounting, utility billing and grant coordination.
Miranda brings 20 years of experience in a management-level position in municipal government and received a bachelor's degree in business administration with an accounting concentration, received a certified public accountant license and became a certified government finance officer in 2018.
Miranda is anticipated to start Sept. 30.
