On May 31, SA Tomorrow held an open house for the Rolling Oaks Area Regional Center Plan at the Julia Yates Semmes Library.

This plan is an initiative to revitalize the area and develop a strategy for future growth and development.

During the open house, area residents were invited to give feedback on what the area is lacking and what residents do not want to see change.

With the feedback from the meeting, the SA Tomorrow planning team will begin working on a plan framework with additional community meetings held sometime between mid-2022 and early 2023.

According to SA Tomorrow, the entire planning process is estimated to take until 2024, when the group adopts the final summary and holds public hearings.

Additional information can be found on the SA Tomorrow website or the home page for the Rolling Oaks Area Regional Center plan.

SA Tomorrow is asking residents who did not attend the open house to complete an online survey with their feedback. The survey will close June 12.
