To celebrate National Park and Recreation Month, the city of Schertz Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a month filled with activities.

The overview

Each Tuesday and Thursday in July, an event will be held at a park in Schertz. These events will be free to attend.

The theme for this year’s event series is “Where You Belong,” which is focused on highlighting the role that parks and recreation professionals play in creating inclusive and welcoming environments for the community, according to a July 1 news release.

The first event will be a field day at Woodlands Oaks Park. Future events include trivia night, a color party, pickleball open play and other family-oriented activities.
