The Live Oak Citizens Police Academy is a community-oriented policing initiative that allows citizens age 18 and older the opportunity to learn about the issues that face law enforcement efforts in their community, and serves as a way to strengthen the relationship between the community and police department, according to the city website.
The start date of classes is on March 21, with classes being held for 10 weeks from 7-9 p.m.
