On June 3, children age 13 and younger can enjoy a fishing event hosted by the city of Live Oak.

Each year, the city hosts Jr. Fishing Day, which allows participants to catch catfish while enjoying the warm weather.

Children are encouraged to bring their own equipment, but those without a fishing rod may check one out on a first-come, first-served basis.

June 3 is also National Fishing Day, meaning anyone can fish without a license.

Adult supervision is required for young children, and adults are not permitted to fish until the event concludes.

The event will run from 7 a.m.-11 a.m. and is free to attend. The event will be held at Main City Park, 18001 Park Drive, Live Oak. More information can be found here.
