The Bud Light Mardi Gras Festival and River Parade is returning Feb. 17 and 18.

This event features live music by local bands, a parade and the River Walk Royalty Coronation.

The coronation is a new event which is designed to help send off outgoing River Walk Royalty and crown the new River Walk Royalty Court for 2023.

The celebration kicks off with JazzFest on Feb. 17 from 6-10 p.m. Live music Feb. 18 will be held from noon-6 p.m.

There will be two opportunities to enjoy the Bud Light Mardi Gras River Parade, which will include a procession of 12 themed floats carrying costumed performers.


The first route will be held at Museum Reach, which is the area of the river near the San Antonio Museum of Art and the Pearl. This parade runs from 2-3 p.m.

The downtown route, which will begin on the River Walk at Houston Street, will be held from 5-6 p.m.

The River Walk Royalty Coronation will be held Feb. 18 beginning at 4 p.m. This event will be held at the Arneson River Theatre, which is located on the River Walk at La Villita Historic Village.
