This drive collects blankets, new socks, undergarments and gently used coats that benefit Communities Under the Bridge, which serves the needs of the homeless in San Antonio.
To help collect as many blankets as possible, the police department partners with Great Hearts Academy, which is a K-9 tuition-free academy in the city.
Last year, the combined efforts raised more more than 1,000 donated items.
