Let Freedom Run 5K
As a kickoff to the Schertz Jubilee, the Let Freedom Run 5K is a race along the parade route prior to the parade beginning. The race is open to all participants and includes a kid's run/fun run alongside a walk for families and others. Schertz Jubilee
Each year, the city of Schertz puts on a big celebration for the Fourth of July. The Schertz Jubilee begins in the morning with a parade, featuring individuals and nonprofit groups. Alongside fireworks, the jubilee will include live music, a kids' carnival and more with additional details and updates released on the city website. The parade begins at 9:30 a.m. and the evening events go from 6-10 p.m with fireworks starting around 9:15 p.m. Admission is free. Activities will be held at different locations across the city with fireworks held at Pickrell Park, 703 Oak St., Schertz.
Garden Ridge 50th Anniversary
The city of Garden Ridge will celebrate its 50th anniversary on July Fourth. The celebration will pay homage to the last 50 years of history in the city with city officials hoping to celebrate the past and future, creating a historical timeline that highlights the accomplishments of the city. Morning activities begin at 9 a.m., and a parade will take place beginning at 10 a.m. Free (admission). Paul Davis Park, located at 20685 Grass Creek, Garden Ridge. San Antonio Fourth of July
The San Antonio Parks Foundation and H-E-B present San Antonio’s Fourth of July Celebration with music, food, children’s activities and more. The event concludes with a fireworks show. 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Free (admission). Woodlawn Lake Park, 1103 Cincinnati Ave., San Antonio.
