Universal City will be hosting a ribbon-cutting April 7 for the newly updated Red Horse Park.
The park update has been in progress since February 2021 and was one of the projects laid out in the parks master plan completed in 2013.
Updates to the park include new playground equipment, exercise equipment, an outdoor classroom and more.
To celebrate the ribbon-cutting, the city will be giving out free ice cream from Lilly’s Frozen Treats while supplies last.
The ribbon-cutting will begin at 3 p.m. at Red Horse Park, 1100 North Blvd., Universal City.
