The city of Schertz is hosting a New Year’s Eve Masquerade on Dec. 31 for the community to Celebrate New Year's Eve and ring in the new year.

Guests are encouraged to bring or make their best holiday mask and join in on the masquerade ball.

Culture Jam will be performing classic songs, oldies, today’s hits, country and holiday songs. Alongside the music and dancing, the event will have games, food vendors and a ball drop.

For those that wear masks, there will be a contest to see who brought the best decorated mask. The contest will be judged in four age categories.

Event festivities begin at 8 p.m. and end at 12:15 a.m. Pickrell Park, 701 Oak Street, Schertz. https://schertz.com/2021/New-Years-Eve-Masquerade
