Jay Furman continues to lead in the Republican primary runoff. As of 10:35 p.m., 80% of polling locations across the state are reporting, according to the Texas Secretary of State website.

Furman leads with 65.95% of votes while Lazaro Garza Jr. received 34.05% of votes.

All results are unofficial until canvassed.

Jay Furman leads early vote results in the U.S. House of Representatives District 28 Republican primary runoff election.

According to the Texas Secretary of State website, Furman leads with 64.13% of early votes, while Lazaro Garza Jr. received 35.87% of early votes.

What’s next?

The winner of the Republican primary runoff will run against Democratic candidate and incumbent Henry Cuellar in November.
