Guadalupe County voters in Schertz will not have a central polling location for the Nov. 7 election.

The Guadalupe County office located on Elbel Road is closed for renovations. Renovations on the project were effective beginning Oct. 16, according to the county website.

Commissioners approved in February an office space allocation form that relocated county departments housed in the closed building to the Guadalupe County Services Center located off FM 78.

On July 11, commissioners also approved a construction manager at-risk contract with Tejas Premier Building Contractor to oversee the renovation of the Elbel Road building.

While other services will be available at the Guadalupe County Services Center on FM 78, the center will not serve as a polling location.

According to the Guadalupe County Elections Department, additional polling locations include:
  • Schertz United Methodist Church, 3460 Roy Richard Drive, Schertz
  • Crosspoint Fellowship Church, 2600 Roy Richard Drive, Schertz
  • Schertz Community Center, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Schertz
  • Mikulski Hall, 509 Schertz Parkway, Schertz
  • Schertz Community Center North, 3501 Morning Drive, Cibolo
  • Cibolo Fire Station No. 2, 3864 Cibolo Valley Drive, Cibolo
Guadalupe County voters can vote at any location within the county. Early voting begins Oct. 23.
