Incumbent Mendell Morgan Jr., will retain his position as Live Oak City Council Place 1 following the results of the May 6 election.
Morgan received 340, or 54.4%, of votes, while LaTonya Green received 169, or 27.04%, and Angela Green received 116, or 18.56%.
The city of Live Oak held an election for City Council places 1, 3 and 5, held by Morgan, Erin Perez and Aaron Dahl, respectively.
Perez and Dahl ran uncontested. The three incumbents will be sworn in following the canvassing of votes.
