Smoot will take over the position from Sarah Reed.
At a glance
For the past two years, Smoot has been an assistant principal at Samuel Clemens High School, according to a district news release. Prior to working for SCUCISD, Smoot served as a teacher, special education teacher, soccer coach, instructional coach and assistant principal within Killeen ISD.
Smoot holds an undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tarleton State University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.
