The Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City board of trustees Nov. 17 canvassed the results of the Nov. 7 election.

In the election, Margaret A. Carlin garnered more votes than Alberto Ramirez, meaning Carlin will serve as the new trustee for Place 2.

Carlin will take the place of Robert Westbrook, who will leave the board to serve as a member of Schertz City Council.

Place 1 trustee Gerald "Jerry" Perkins and Place 3 trustee Letticia Sever both ran unopposed in the election.

What’s next?

Carlin will take an oath to office alongside Perkins and Sever on Nov. 28 during the regular scheduled meeting. The elected officials will serve on the board until the November 2027 election.

A recognition will also be given to Westbrook for his service to the district.
