A new superintendent search firm has been selected by the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City board of trustees.

On Oct. 5, a special meeting was held to interview superintendent search firms. Six firms presented their services during the meeting, with the Texas Association of School Boards Executive Search Services taking the unanimous vote to serve as the search firm for the district.

What’s next?

With the selection of TASB ESS, the district will work with the superintendent search firm to establish a timeline and discuss the search process.

According to the presentation from the TASB, the planning meeting between the firm and the district will:
  • Review the timeline
  • Identify and secure team commitments
  • Finalize qualifications and characteristics desired in the next superintendent
  • Discuss community involvement
The goal of the search process is to have a new superintendent by the time Clark Ealy retires at the end of January. Superintendent search firm interviews can be watched here.
