A Mexican restaurant has closed its doors on Schertz's Main Street.

The overview

No Mames Tacos, known for its street tacos and birria dishes, announced the closure of its brick-and-mortar Main Street location on July 30. The Mexican restaurant shut down on Aug. 3.

Co-owned by United States Marine Corps veteran Eduardo "Eddie" Ramirez and wife Adrianna Ramirez, the restaurant opened in September 2024 after the two successfully started a local food truck, according to previous reporting by Community Impact.

"It was a difficult decision, but a decision that is best for the business and our family. We want to thank everyone that came and enjoyed our food. We will miss you all. We will miss meeting people, the laughs, the long hours, everything," Ramirez said in a Facebook post.

Although the restaurant closed, Ramirez said his family will continue to operate the food truck, located at Old Main Ice House, 110 North Main Street in Cibolo.
