Boujee Bowls opened a location next to UR Ship & Print and Northern D’Lights at 1248 FM 78, Ste. 103, Schertz. The new eatery is in its soft opening phase and will have a grand opening Aug. 19.

On the menu

Boujee Bowls offers acai, passion fruit, pitaya, coconut, overnight oat bowls and smoothies. Customers can choose toppings like breakfast cereal, fruits, granola, marshmallows and more. The smoothie menu features a variety of protein and fruit-based beverages.

A family affair

The restaurant is owned by Charity and JP Phillips who met in Italy during their time in the military. After starting their family, they decided to retire from the U.S. Air Force and begin new careers. The Phillips’ involvement with community and local church inspired them to start their new business.

According to the Phillips', they began their business in a food truck in December 2023. They wanted to build a business where locals can gather in a positive environment.

“We wanted to stay in the local area because we love the tight-knit community of Schertz and Cibolo. We also wanted to stay close to the military base, being veterans ourselves,” Charity Phillips said.
