Cibolo Mayor Mark Allen said the new store is a major contribution to the city, and it helps attract other businesses to the area.
“Today marks a momentous occasion, both for H-E-B and for Cibolo,” he said. “We are pleased to see that H-E-B has decided to introduce a new concept right here in Cibolo with the automated fulfillment center.”
The new 110,000-square-foot store features curbside pickup, home delivery, an electronic fulfillment center, a Sushiya, pharmacy, bakery and more.
According to H-E-B staff, home delivery is set to be rolled out over the next few weeks, and the electronic fulfillment center is anticipated to be complete by the end of the year.
The store officially opens to the public Jan. 25.
