Candidate applications for Schertz City Council are now open. Council places 3, 4 and 5 will be on the Nov. 7 ballot. The positions are held by incumbents Jill Whittaker, Michael Dahle and David Scagliola, respectively.

According to the Schertz city charter, applicants for council must have be age 18 or older on the first day of the term of office applied for, be a registered voter of the city of Schertz and have been a resident of the city for at least 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the deadline for filing for an application for a place on the ballot.

Those interested in applying for the select positions will need to fill out the candidate packet, which is available in the city secretary’s office at 1400 Schertz Parkway, Bldg. 2, Schertz.
