The city of Schertz will reduce the number of City Council meetings held each month.

During the May 2, City Council meeting, council held the first reading of an amendment to the Code of Ordinances to hold council meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

This changes the former schedule of having meetings on the first, second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Special meetings will still be held when needed.

The change will be implemented following the second reading and approval of the amendment, with an expected start date in June.
