During meetings in February and March, the Universal City City Council discussed the venue tax and needs for the Olympia Hills Golf and Event Center.

The venue tax was created in 2002 to help pay the bond debt for the golf course, which was approved by voters in 1997.

With the bond debt being paid off, City Council is looking at the next options for what to do with the tax.

On April 11, City Council will hold a workshop to discuss possible options for the reallocation of the venue tax and what to do with the tax moving forward.

This meeting is a workshop only, and no action will be taken. Citizens will still have an opportunity to voice their concerns in the Citizens to be Heard portion of the meeting prior to the discussion.

The meeting will be held at City Hall Council Chambers, 2150 Universal City Blvd., Universal City, and begin at 6 p.m.
