Application for the Schertz Junior/Teen Police Academy opened April 4.

This program gives participants a behind-the-scenes look at police department operations.

Throughout the program, the students will learn about basic forensics and other police related topics.

The junior program is open to Schertz residents who are ages 9-12, and the teen program is for ages 13-16. Programs will be held for five days, running from 8 a.m.-noon each day.

Alpha Class for ages 9-10 will be held June 12-16; Bravo Class for ages 11-12 will be held July 24-28; and the Teen Police Academy will be held June 19-23.


Applications for the Alpha and Teen camps are due May 25, and applications for the Bravo camp are due June 30.
