The city of Live Oak will have an election May 6 for City Council places 1, 3 and 5, held by Mendell D. Morgan Jr., Erin Perez and Aaron Dahl, respectively.

Perez and Dahl are running uncontested and will be sworn in following the canvassing of the votes.

For Place 1, three candidates have filed for a place on the ballot. Incumbent Morgan will run against LaTonya Green and Angela Green.

The last day to register to vote in the May election is April 6, and the last day to apply for a ballot by mail is April 25. Early voting will occur April 24 through May 2, and election day is May 6.
