The city of Cibolo announced the grand opening of the Cibolo Senior Program. According to the city website, the goal of the program will be to provide a safe place for seniors in the community and provide them with social, educational and nutritional opportunities.
The program is available for all residents 50 years and older. For those who wish to join the program, the yearly costs will be $36 for individual membership and $66 for couples. Fees are waived until March 1.
To celebrate the program opening, there will be an open house event Jan. 25 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Cibolo Grange located at 413 N. Main St., Cibolo.
In addition to the launch of the program, the city is also in search of Meals on Wheels delivery drivers and other volunteers.
