According to a news release, the new service is Frontier’s fifth nonstop flight from SA Airport. Flights will depart from SA Airport every Monday, Friday and Sunday.

“Earlier this summer we celebrated Frontier’s resumption of nonstop service to Atlanta, and we’re thrilled to see the growth continue,” Jesus Saenz, San Antonio Aviation Department director of airports, said. “We continue to work tirelessly on expanding nonstop service from [SA Airport] which includes new routes, new airlines, and new options on existing routes.”

Additionally, this new service will complement already existing SA Airport services from American Airlines and Southwest Airlines to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

“[SA Airport] has seen significant ULCC growth in recent years,” said Jacob Tyler, San Antonio Aviation Department air service administrator. “This has increased competition resulting in cheaper fares and more options not only for San Antonians but for residents throughout Central and South Texas.”
