What you need to know
According to city documents, the project is part of the 2022-27 Bond pedestrian mobility projects, which seek to widen pedestrian access across the city.
Pedestrian mobility projects include:
- Construction of new sidewalks
- Connecting existing sidewalks
- Adding bike paths
- Installing streetlights
- Adding crosswalks
- Improving access to public transportation
Associated projects for District 10 include adding sidewalks on Jones Maltsberger Road and Autry Pond Road, Greenwich Boulevard from Eisenhauer Road to Brees Boulevard and from Eisenhauer Road to Northridge Drive, and on El Charro Street from El Sendero Street to La Posita Street.
Construction began in summer 2024 and is estimated to be completed summer 2026.
