As part of the 2022-27 Bond Program, San Antonio city officials will reconstruct a series of District 9 roads in severe disrepair.

The overview

As a means of prioritizing roadways repairs, the city grades most streets in San Antonio from A to F. Using special equipment, city officials produce a pavement condition index from 0 to 100. Approximately 11%, or about 471 miles, are failing with a PCI of 40 or below.

Streets to be reconstructed include:
  • Northern Boulevard from Jones Maltsberger Road to Cul-de-sac
  • West Coker Loop from East Nakoma Drive to Dead End
  • Bluff Ivy Lane from Cul-de-sac to Cul-de-sac
  • Churchill Estates Boulevard from Huebner Road to Nashwa Street
  • Churchill Estates Boulevard from Nashwa Street to Bold Venture
  • Eaglebrook Street from Oak Spring Street to Cul-de-sac
  • Mary Knoll Drive from Janet Lee Drive to Cedar Elm Drive
  • Spring Knoll from Autumn Knoll to Winter Hill
  • Embassy Oaks from West Avenue to West Bitters Road
  • Cloud Top from Deer Crest to Dawn Crest
  • Dreamland from Railroad crossing to Lockhill-Selma Road

The 2022-27 bond program includes $100.5 million in funding to reconstruct several of these F-graded streets in each council district.

Construction is estimated to be completed in spring 2027.
