At the Airport Advisory Commission meeting Nov. 18, Assistant Director of Aviation Ryan Rocha gave a presentation detailing new features designed to ease travel ahead of the holiday season.

The overview

The presentation detailed multiple aspects of the updated parking facilities at the San Antonio International Airport, including total parking capacity, a new shuttle fleet, a redesigned website and a parking reservation booking page.
According to the SA Airport website, travelers leaving San Antonio can choose from a variety of parking options, such as two economy parking lots, long term parking and valet parking. Residents needing to park for a short period of time can use the short term parking lot and the cell phone lot. Residents can also reserve a parking space ahead of time by visiting SA Airport’s website.

To ease parking congestion, SA Airport has also introduced touchless parking by scanning a QR code located in the parking lots.

Additionally, SA Airport offers remote check-in at Level 0. Known as Curbside Concierge, travelers can drop off their luggage, check-in for their flight and retrieve their boarding pass. Participating airlines include Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines and United Airlines.
