San Antonio District 8 and public works officials will hold a public meeting to review the design plans for the Southwell North Area Drainage project at 6 p.m. Nov. 14 at Oxford United Methodist Church, 9739 Huebner Road.
The gistThe
Southwell North Area Drainage project is part of the 2022-27 Bond projects and the hazard mitigation plan. Construction will run along Southwell Road and Melba Drive.
The project is currently in design phase and will install an underground storm drain system and an earthen outfall channel. It will include roadway, curb, sidewalk and driveway approach reconstruction within available funding.
Construction is estimated to begin summer 2026 and be completed fall 2027.
