Also of note

Improvements at Wurzbach Road and Vance Jackson Road are also part of the Wurzbach Corridor Sidewalk Project. The $2.35 million project stretches from Fredericksburg Road to I-10 and will be conducted in four phases, beginning with I-10 and Bluemel Road.

Construction of sidewalks and pedestrian amenities began July 29. Improvements include better access to bus stops, wider sidewalks and improved American with Disabilities Act accessibility.

Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the project and construction will primarily be done at night. Businesses and their parking lots will remain accessible. Pedestrians should expect intermittent sidewalk closures.
