Contractors overseeing the Loop 1604 expansion and improvement project in north San Antonio will close a few segments of the freeway nightly March 21-24, while another portion of the corridor will be fully closed all this weekend due to construction work.

Current situation

According to Texas Department of Transportation officials, there will be a full closure of the main westbound Loop 1604 lanes from the Lockhill Selma Road exit ramp to I-10 from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. March 21-23. The closure will allow workers to set overhangs and deck panels on the westbound direct-connector.
