Contractors handling the expansion of Loop 1604 in North San Antonio will close the main westbound and eastbound lanes between the Northwest Military Highway exit and entrance ramps 9 p.m. Aug. 18 through 5 a.m. Aug. 20.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, this closure will also affect the northbound and southbound lanes at Northwest Military and Loop 1604, including the turnarounds.

Additionally, the main westbound lanes of Loop 1604 from the Blanco Road exit ramp to the Northwest Military entrance ramp from 9 p.m. Aug. 18 through 5 a.m. Aug. 21.

Contractors also will begin on Aug. 22 a long-term full closure of the Loop 1604 westbound to eastbound turnaround lane at La Cantera Parkway/John Peace Boulevard to work on retaining walls there. TxDOT did not provide an end date for this closure.
