Work crews handling the expansion of Loop 1604 across north San Antonio are closing parts of the 1604/I-10 interchange while planned closures of two other segments of the freeway are being rescheduled.

According to Texas Department of Transportation, contractors closed one eastbound right lane from I-10 to Tradesman Road, and one eastbound exit ramp and one westbound exit ramp at I-10 and Loop 1604.

This closure began 9 p.m. Aug. 2 and is ongoing through 5 a.m. Aug. 5, and detours are in effect, TxDOT officials said.

However, TxDOT announced early Aug. 4 that planned weekend closures of Loop 1604 between Kyle Seale Parkway and Braun Road and from the Blanco Road exit ramp to the Bitters Road entrance ramp are being rescheduled. Neither a reason nor a rescheduled date were provided by TxDOT.
