A segment of main lanes of Loop 1604 in both directions will be closed July 14-17 as part of the ongoing freeway expansion project in North San Antonio.

Texas Department of Transportation said the closure—happening from 9 p.m. July 14 through 5 a.m. July 17—will affect eastbound main lanes of Loop 1604 between the Bitters Road exit ramp and the Blanco Road entrance ramp, and the westbound main lane between the Blanco Road exit ramp and the Blanco Road entrance ramp.

According to TxDOT, traffic traveling on westbound Loop 1604 will take the Blanco Road exit ramp and continue on the westbound frontage road until they reach the Blanco Road entry ramp.

Eastbound traffic will exit at the Bitters Road exit ramp and can re-enter the highway at the Blanco Road entrance ramp.

TxDOT also announced July 12 that replacement ramp connecting westbound Loop 1604 to La Cantera Parkway is now open to traffic as part of expansion-related work there.
