Construction crews taking part in the Loop 1604 expansion project across North San Antonio will completely close both westbound and eastbound main lanes from the Blanco Road exit ramp to the Northwest Military Highway entry ramp May 31 to June 2.
According to an alert from the Texas Department of Transportation, which is overseeing the project, the overnight closures will begin 9 p.m. May 31 and end 5 a.m. June 2, weather permitting. TxDOT officials said the closures are due to road workers setting deck panels at the Salado Creek bridge.
TxDOT officials said all westbound traffic on Loop 1604 will detour to the westbound frontage road at the Blanco Road exit ramp, and enter the freeway at the entrance ramp west of Northwest Military.
All eastbound traffic will detour at the Northwest Military exit ramp and enter the freeway at the entrance ramp east of Blanco Road.
