The San Antonio Public Works Department started work April 18 to add a 300-linear-foot right-turn lane on northbound and southbound Huebner Road at Loop 1604.
District 9 City Council Member John Courage told constituents about the new road improvements project in an April 14 email blast.
Courage said motorists using Huebner near Loop 1604 should be aware of a closure of the existing right lane where through traffic must merge left.
This mobility improvement project was submitted by City Council District 9 residents during Courage’s last participatory budgeting process held in 2021.
“To help facilitate traffic, message boards and signage will be available to direct motorists,” Courage said.
Courage said construction should last approximately three months, weather permitting.
