Officials with Hollywood-Crawford Door Co., based in north central San Antonio, recently donated more than $100,000 to eight nonprofit organizations that serve the San Antonio and Hill Country areas.

According to a Dec. 6 news release, nonprofits receiving a donation include:

  • Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries, which serves as a regional resource center for church outreach programs and nonprofit agencies that serve impoverished individuals and families as well as those in crisis in an eight-county area in the Texas Hill Country
  • Daily Bread Ministries, a nonprofit that supports area food pantries with fresh, healthy food, and also equips partner agencies and groups with resources and training to address the root cause of poverty
  • 1Hope for Kids, a foster care and adoption agency in Bexar, Comal and surrounding counties that trains, licenses and supports Christian families
  • Acceptance Wellness Care Centers (formerly Any Woman Can), a nonprofit that aids women in crisis with free counseling, free ultrasounds, free STI testing and free pregnancy testing
  • The South Texas Alliance for Orphans, which serves and equips churches that care for children and families in the foster care system
  • The SHARE Center of Bulverde and Spring Branch, providing free pregnancy services for those facing unplanned pregnancies or other sexual health issues with professional medical care
  • Every Nation Churches and Ministries, a worldwide organization of churches and campus ministries with a San Antonio presence
  • San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, which emphasizes agriculture and education to develop Texas youth

According to the news release, company officials said they chose to give back to the community by donating to organizations that serve individuals and families in need.

“We are thrilled to be able to support organizations doing wonderful work in San Antonio and the Hill Country,” Hollywood-Crawford Door Co. President Randy Oliver said in a statement.
