San Antonio-based TEXAS YES, the largest distributor of school supplies in Texas, is hosting a “Coat & Sock Drive For Kids” now through Dec. 13 at the TEXAS YES headquarters, 7550 I-10 W., Ste. 150.

A news release said items being accepted include new socks, new or gently used coats, and new undergarments for children ages 5-18.

Donations can be dropped off 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekdays. TEXAS YES will deliver the donated clothing to the parent resource centers in Harlandale and Edgewood ISDs before winter break to ensure students stay warm during the holidays, the release said.

Since 1998, TEXAS YES has supplied students and teachers at Title I schools with school supply kits, STEM and arts development grants, and more.

Over the years, more than $4 million has been invested in area communities through school supply distribution, scholarships for high school students, grants for schools and educational nonprofits, and access to books, the release said.
