Sabor del Pueblo, which previously offered Mexican cuisine near San Antonio’s Churchill Estates neighborhood, reopened as Coffee and Culture Bakery on Oct. 3.
Owners of the restaurant used social media to announce a temporary closure that began in early August to remodel the eatery and change the business concept to a coffee and bakery shop.
Coffee and Culture Bakery, located at 13489 Blanco Road, San Antonio, offers a variety of coffee drinks, Mexican pastries, muffins, cinnamon rolls and other goods baked from scratch. They also plan to serve light bites for lunch.
The baked goods are produced by Chef Angel Encarnacion’s Sweet Baker venture, which has a separate San Antonio location at 605 West Ave.
Visitors to Coffee and Culture Bakery may dine in or get their food to-go.
Coffee and Culture Bakery is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sundays.
