San Antonio Ready to Work, San Antonio’s job training and placement program, along with state Rep. Barbara Gervin-Hawkins, Spurs Sports & Entertainment and Workforce Solutions Alamo are hosting Job Fest & Training Expo 2025 from 4-7 p.m. June 12 at the Frost Bank Center, 1 Frost Bank Center Drive, San Antonio.

What you need to know

According to a news release, candidates will be able to meet with top employers in the construction, trades and utilities industries, which are looking to hire a skilled workforce and provide better-quality, higher-paying jobs.

Approximately 75 companies will be represented, including the city of San Antonio, Frost Bank Center, Spurs Sports & Entertainment, Southwest Research Institute, Mortensen/Bartlett Cocke, Methodist Healthcare, Toyota and JCB. Attending training providers include Southern Careers Institute, The College of Health Care Professionals, Excel Driver Services, Dental Assisting School of Texas, Kaplan, The University of Texas at San Antonio-Professional and Continuing Education, The Institute of Allied Healthcare, University of the Incarnate Word, and Heavy Equipment Operators.

Additionally, the job fest will feature the new cohort training model piloted by VIA Metropolitan Transit. Through the cohort, VIA will hire those who wish to be trained to obtain their commercial drivers license to be bus operators. The training lasts for 13 weeks and includes paid training on day one starting at $22.45 per hour. Anyone with a CDL or those looking to obtain their CDL may apply.


According to a news release, these companies represent RTW target industries in education, health care, finance, manufacturing/aerospace, professional services and hospitality.

Job seekers are encouraged to bring their resumes and dress to impress as interview opportunities may happen at the fair. The event is open to ages 16 and older.
