What you need to know
According to a news release, the event is open to solid waste management customers. To drop off waste, residents need to present a valid picture ID and a copy of their most recent CPS Energy bill. There is no fee for this service. During the event, technicians will unload the waste and return the containers upon request.
Accepted materials for disposal include:
- Paint
- Oil
- Chemicals
- Pesticides
- Batteries
- Electronics
Requirements for drop-off:
- Contents should be kept in the original container
- If the container leaks, residents must transfer the contents to a leak-proof or lined cardboard box
- Residents should not mix different materials in the same container or bag.
- Place all items in a box and put them in the trunk or truck bed during transport.
- If materials are brought in a non-approved container, it will not be returned.
- Paint and other liquid waste are limited to five 5-gallon cans and 25 1-gallon cans with a 220-pound limit.
